Three of Shostakovich's Best Pieces in One CD
Disregarding his 10th Symphony, the 5th Symphony, 7th Symphony, and Festive Overture are some of Shostakovich's most well-known and well-liked pieces. Vladimir Ashkenazy does each piece justice, performing them at the right tempo. The tempo of the Festive Overture even almost reaches Shostakovich's desired tempo for the piece. I recommend this CD to those who would like to have three of Shostie's best works on a single CD. 5 Stars!
