Great Album... 2001 & Now... 2006!
First off... When this album was 1st released back in 2001 with a small budget & raw sound it was amazing! Now in 2006 listening to it again after not hearing it for about 4 years... it's still amazing. A must have for anyone who loves the fusion of latin, jazz, and trip hop.
Where Do I Begin?
SiSe’s self-titled debut is a classic must-have for anyone who is into electronica, Latin, neo-disco, world beats, soul, or better yet a fusion of all these. It’s one of those CD’s that you'll never get tired of, as one reviewer said. The shining star of this album is undoubtedly “Bizcocho Amargo,” a declaration of relationship independence and always a crowd favorite, which fuses flamenco guitar with DJ scratches with Carol C’s gypsy-like vocals: “No lo aguanto mas!” The whole album transitions beautifully, like an ethereal subway ride from downtown to uptown. Other standouts include the roots-reggae influenced “Burbuja,” the trip-hoppy funk “Dolemite,” the revised remake of “The Rain,” and surprisingly ends with a sweetly sung Dominican lullaby. I can’t brag about SiSe enough, and I’m so glad that they’re receiving the attention they deserve via iTunes and their new album. If after downloading both albums, you’re still entranced by Carol C’s vocals (and you will be), download “Cleopatra in New York” off of Nickodemus’ album and the original “Mariposa en Havana” EP by Nickodemus and Osiris with Carol C on vocals, both on iTunes.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM & THE NEW ONE. THE MUSIC IS FANTASTIC, I LOVE THE UNIQUE SOUND WITH THAT LATIN SMOOTH BEATS. BOTH ALBUM'S ARE INCREDIBLE!!!
