Favorite Album of Summer 2010
The debut of Morgan Taylor Reid's first solo album "Simply Human" certainly proves that he has what it takes to shine on his own. With a well rounded pop/rock/indie vibe, this album is full of upbeat radio hits like "When Your Heart is Able" and "Stay Where You Are," but it also features a softer side with songs like "Brighter" and "Touch." The emotions conveyed through this album will pull on your heartstrings and if the song "Simply Human" doesn't make you melt with compassion, I don't know what will. The variety of songs showcases Morgan Taylor Reid's creativity and masterful producing skills. The use of acoustic guitar throughout gives this album a warm and familiar tone, but the eclectic mix of instruments makes the music far from simple. I appreciate that the cover art ties into the theme of this album; it's raw, simple and it doesn't hurt to have an attractive face to go along with such an incredible voice. Overall, I recommend buying this entire album, the array of songs compliment each other so well, it'd be a shame to leave any of them out. Enjoy!

EVERY SINGLE SONG IS AMAZING!!!! I especially LOVE "Stay Where You Are" and the title track, "Simply Human"
