Album Review
Released ten months after Lost Souls Like Us, this acoustic album features stripped-down versions of four songs from that record, as well as six other fan favorites from the Benjy Davis catalog. Davis has always favored an organic pop sound, with melodies that take their cues from campfire folk music and arrangements that rely heavily on the acoustic guitar. Accordingly, the songs on Sincerely rarely stray all that far from their original versions, and the absence of electric guitar is often the only difference between these tunes and their amplified source material. It’s nice to hear Johnny Pisano pluck away at the upright bass, though, and the inclusion of the affable title trick — whose availability was previously restricted to the Amazon.com release of Lost Souls Like Us — makes Sincerely an attractive package for fans.

'Sincerely' awesome!
Love it, love it! Benjy's incredible voice grabs me with each note. The acoustical versions of some of your favorite songs just make you appreciate the raw beauty of music. And the fullness of sound on the final track drives it all home...these guys live for their music. And I do too! Check it out for yourself...by the end you'll be relaxing on a grassy hill in the moonlight of a Southern state with the sweet smell of your youth lingering heavily in the air.

He's such a great songwriter. Some of the lines off of this record and Lost Souls Like Us, just make me shiver they're so clever and soul grabbing.
