Six Songs, By The Finches
After months and months of checking, Six Songs is finally on ITunes! This is a fantastic Folk album. Their music is soft and endearing while Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs proves to have one of the most charming and original voices you’ll hear.
This CD will relax you!
I love this CD! I was just listening to it again and realizing that there are so many sides to it. In some sections, The Finches seem sincere and emotional, but then the very next line is a sly joke! One line made me laugh because it was about the singer, Carolyn, realizing someone was a bad singer. Other songs, like, "Daniel," Carolyn's ode to her brother, are quite heartfelt. The band has progressed so much since this CD, so perhaps their newer music is technically better, but this is where it started and there is something true about it.
