Customer Reviews

Good rockin cd.

Great follow up to Tall Stories album, even though it has been sitting for a long time. Thanking the band for finally releasing this. The band did a great job of remastering.

Great 2nd Album From Tall Stories

Much different than their debut record which was more slick and polished and now sounds a bit dated because of it, Skyscraper's more raw with more of a 'roots rock' sound, in some places it's gotta real swampiness to it. This album's much more rocking than the debut album which is nice to hear, though the first one's also good. This album finds TS playing it less 'safe'. The guitars are more heavy, the vocals have more bite, and as a whole it rocks. For Steve Augeri fans looking for this to sound like another Journey album, this one rocks more than anything he did with Journey and stands up as a heavier record. The production is really raw, sounds great to my ears.

Tall Order

This is Tall Stories 2nd album after a much prolonged hiatus. Steve Augeri who led Journey for three albums is back at the helm. There is always more to the story as to why Steve left Journey. Helath was cited, but I'm sure it was more than that. Just listening to some of the songs the album has a heavier edge to it and I would surmise that there were cretive differences between Steve, Neal and John (I think Neal and John love the pop side these days as compared to Neal's roots as evidenced in their latest release 'Revelation'). But for those of you that loved Tall Stories first album and loved Steve with Journey then this is a must have and you shouldn't be disappointed.
