MIA is back with power power

This movie is how MIA should be heard. You see the people and the situations she is rapping about, and it restored my sense of wonder with her that had been lost after hearing the gunshots of Paper planes bleating sadly from the pop radio stations one too many times. O...Saya is a great song and the Bollywood legend AR Rahman has delivered a very strong soundtrack to a fantastic film.

TBTR-Slumdog Millionaire

On the movie-see it, see it, see it!!! On the soundtrack-AR Rahman, who is, in my opinion, a genius, has created an exotic blend of traditional, electro, and dance music to unleash something truly amazing. There is not a bad song on this album-heres the TBTR: O... Saya-5/5 Great to include M.I.A. in this song-she completed it perfectly. Awesome beat and lyrics. Riots-4/5 Really good instrumental composition, haunting and disturbing. My only complaint is that it is very short. Mausam & Escape-5/5 Brilliant intro which transfers to a blend of electronic and traditional Indian music. Paper Planes-5/5 We all know and love this song by now, but it was refreshing to hear it in this movie because it puts into greater light what Maya is rapping about. Paper Planes (DFA Remix)-4/5 Cool remix. Ringa Ringa-5/5 My favorite song on the album! Great, great sound. Liquid Dance-5/5 Another amazing blend of electro and traditional-AR Rahman can do no wrong! Latika's Theme-4/5 The slowest song on the album, but still really beautiful. It's simple-not cheesy, not overdone. Aaj Ki Raat-3/5 The weakest song. It dragged on far too long and it started to get boring. But still, it's pretty good for dancing. Millionaire-4/5 Awesome beat. Gangsta Blues-3/5 Not my favorite song on the album. It's okay, it'll probably grow on me. Dreams On Fire-5/5 Kind of like Latika's Theme with lyrics. Great, really pretty. Jai Ho-5/5 Amazing Bollywood style song, perfect for the movie. See the movie, buy the entire soundtrack. 5/5!!!

The Perfect Soundtrack to a Wonderful Film!

As great and intense and fantastic the Danny Boyle directed 'Slumdog Millionaire' film is, the soundtrack is absolutely its perfect companion. Following the film in its intensity and tone every step of the way, A.R. Rahman has again proven that he is a genius and the crowned magician of composing. I mean, can you believe this is the same man who brought us "Chaiyya Chaiyaa", "Ishq Bina" and even "Barso Re"???? This is an absolute must-have for any music lover and film buff alike!
