A Friends and Family Compilation, But a Good One

Fans of Nuno Bettencourt will recognize "Q.P.D.," "If Only" and "Flow" from his pre-Dramagods project, Population1. Also here is a nicely reworked "Pursuit of Happiness" (the original version appears on Nuno's 1996 release, "Schizophonic." "Need I Say More," from Extreme bandmate Gary Cherone, appears on Cherone's 2005 EP by the same name. "Stitch," "Rush You" and "U Still Need Me" all appear on "Il Grande Silenzio," the new release from Baby Animals, fronted by Nuno's wife, Suze. The score selections feature Nuno's impressive orchestral arrangements and guitar virtuousity. The lush sound of "This is Your Life" recalls songs from Extreme's back catalog, such as "Rock a Bye Baby" and "Rise 'n Shine." This soundtrack is currently available for Album Only purchase, but "Flow" is a gem worth the price alone.

Better than the movie.

I love it when I'm watching a movie and the first thing I notice is how great the music is. I become somewhat distracted during the movie because I'm constantly thinking with each new song played, "I've got to get this soundtrack ASAP!!".

Surprising

Some of the songs are mediocre but there are a couple good ones. Most of the good ones are simply just acoustic guitars. This Is Your Life, Q.P.D., Early Checkout, School Girl Crush, and Hamburger in Bed are great and well worth the ten bucks for the album but the best ones that I listen to OVER and OVER again are If Only and Lotus. Lotus is something I listen to at night when typing or reading and If Only I listen to around the same time, when just relaxing. And overall thats what this album is, relaxing. I did see the film and did not like it but I love this album
