This 11-track compilation showcases all the biggest smooth-jazz hits from 2010 and early 2011. The mix is primarily instrumental, with no shortage of squeaky-clean acoustic guitars, breezy wind chimes, mellow keyboards, slap-bass action, and of course the ubiquitous soprano saxophone. To be sure, this collection is not for everyone, and if you're exclusively into extra-thugged out gangsta rap or Norwegian black metal, this is unlikely to win you over anytime soon. But if you're looking for a great compilation of the best proponents of the genre in the new century, this is the ideal collection. Featured artists include Boney James, Najee, Fourplay, and smooth jazz pioneer George Benson.
