Album Review
Fourplay's first Christmas album Snowbound features traditional and contemporary holiday songs, all performed in the supergroup's popular smooth jazz style. Their renditions of "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Away in a Manger," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," and "The Christmas Song" — which also features vocals by Eric Benet — combine the best of Fourplay's style with vibrant holiday spirit.

Smooth Jazz Christmas
by a song 4uLeave it to the masters of Fourplay to turn Donald Fagan's "Snowbound" into a Christmas song. The lead vocals were deleted and the song is turned into a warm instrumental with a background chorus singing the title word. Yummy to the ears. Kudos for recruiting Eric Benet to sing leads for the "Christmas Song." Joni Mitchell gets her due with another worthy cover of "River," a song which seems to be experiencing a sudden resurgency. The song choice isn't suprising but the treatments breathe new life to these carols, another satisfying song is the inclusion of the sacred "Amazing Grace." Love it.
Should Be in EVERYONE'S Christmas Music Library
by LautenFourplay's SNOWBOUND is by far the most enjoyable holiday album I've purchased for my holiday collection. In fact, it's one of the only Christmas CD's I listen to anually. Their original song and title of the CD, SNOWBOUND, is Fourplay at their artistic best. And try NOT to get emotional at their cover of Joni Mitchell's RIVER. QUICKLY download the entire album and enjoy. You will not be disappointed!
