Jennette McCurdy - Powerhouse Voice
You may know her best as Sam on Nickelodeon's iCarly, but with her first single "So Close", Jennette McCurdy reveals she's also quite the crooner.
Every young actor seems to be coming out with an album or song these days. If you are looking for the overly enhanced, digitally "fixed" pop fare associated with McCurdy's peers, you won't find it this song. McCurdy can sing. Beautifully. With a mature, powerful voice that belies her sixteen years of age, McCurdy belts out simple yet affecting lines that perfectly capture the anguish star adoration can bring. Young girls everywhere will relate to feeling like their celeb heartthrob is so close--as a poster on a beside wall--and yet so far away, ignorant to their existence. Catchy lyrics and foot-tapping country instrumentation create an enjoyable experience overall for listeners of any age. A solid first effort from McCurdy who proves you can be a young actor, and you can sing too.
She Rocks!! Better than Miranda!!
From the first time I heard her sing on Fred Cooks For Judy, I LOVED her voice!!!
I listened to it non-stop and now it's out!!! YAY!
She really has an incredible voice! I think better than Miranda Cosgrove!(Though I still love Miranda!)

Wow, she has a really talented voice. I like the country twang to her.. it's more original then other tv-turned music stars..
She definitely has potential to be a good county artist. I like how the song is not overly done, you can still hear her voice in it not a computer generated voice. Good job Jennette.
