You made me the thief

How am I the first to review this album, and it's November of 2010? How crazy.

Although Sinead isn't a "greatest hits" kind of artist, this album has a priceless gem. "You made me the thief of you heart" is one of Sinead's best songs ever. I've given this album five stars, and all 5 stars go to this song. Having said that, this album is not the best collection of her music. Two songs that really should be on here (just because they're good songs) are Three Babies and her cover of Elton John's Sacrafice (very beautiful).

My favorite tracks that made it to this compilation are Troy, I am stretched on your grave (iTunes has mislabeled the song is I am stretching), Success has made a failure of our home and my favorite from her debut - I want your hands on me.

If you are looking into her music for the first time, I would recommend cherry picking her LP's instead of buying this full album, but buy Thief of your heart for sure!

Just Like U Said It Would B

I love this album. I love everything that she does. Sean-Nos Nua is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever listened to, but this has several greats on it. She is a goddess of the voice, the look, and the soul. She holds the pain of the world on her shoulders and she rocks it. Sinead O'Connor will live on forever as the greatest singer of all time. This album is a testament to that fact.

Her music has been my companion for 17 years!

I remember the very first time I heard her voice, the next day my mom took me to buy her CD. I am now 30 and to this day I still have that CD, it's been though a lot, moving 10 times being shoved in and out of various CD players and now I'm purchasing it for my iPod....beautiful voice beautiful lyrics beautiful human.

Sinéad O'Connor ranked among the most distinctive and controversial pop music stars of the 1990s, the first and in many ways the most influential of the numerous female performers whose music dominated airwaves throughout the decade. Brash and outspoken — her shaven head, angry visage, and shapeless wardrobe a direct challenge to the popular culture's long-prevailing notions of femininity and sexuality — O'Connor irrevocably altered the image of women in rock; railing against long-standing...
