pop secret
Besides having a subtly hilarious band name, Sofa City Sweetheart knows how to make pop music at its purest essence... not sugary sweet but melodic and catchy and with some heartfelt sincerity. Good for people who like Elliott Smith and the Beach Boys. Also, don't let iTunes masters keep you from purchasing the last song even if it means buying the album. Its basically a companion piece to track 4!
Clean, hi-fi pop music
Super clean, crisp, high-fidelity pop music. All the parts can be heard in very high detail and clarity, and it sounds lovely. Reminds me a lot of XTC's "Skylarking," which is one of my only favorite pop albums recorded in super high-fidelity. And the lyrics are just as sweet as the melodies. Great string arrangements, solid pop songs, and a gorgeous voice tying it all together. My favorite song is "Good News For Jackie," but you should definitely keep listening to all the songs.

Sofa City Sweetheart has a beautiful haunting voice that will capture the hearts of both girls and boys who, well, love good music. If you happen to like "preview all" then do yourself a favor and just buy the album, listen to it with headphones from start to finish and get on board an enchanting harmoniously driven album that ends where it should end -the very end (of the album) and not any sooner. What's not to love about Sofa City Sweetheart? It's ROCK ROCK ROCKIN!
