I grew up in upstate NY as well (Syracuse to be exact) and seeing "the Cult" was nothing short of a concert event - the light show was later outlawed due to concerns about optic nerve damage and the "festival seating" was done away with after the infamous Who concert in Cinncinnati, but this album harkens back to the easier, rawer and more exciting days of rock. The only thing that would make it more complete is "more cowbell." ;-)

growing up in upstate ny watching theses 5ft 6 rock gods with a laser light show was the ultimate now remastered on itunes with hot rails is amazing stuff

Legendary!

Live albums ruled the 1970's. Frampton Comes Alive, Live At Leeds. The list goes on and on. And then there is Some Enchanted Evening. For me, it outshines them all. BOC really brings it. Chock full of energy, it's, quite possibly, THE best short roadtrip album ever. No joke! If I were forced to have only one Live album in my possession it would be this one without a doubt.

The band that became Blue Öyster Cult was organized in 1967 at Stony Brook College on Long Island...
