Great Music!
It's nice to hear an independent release that brings it back to basics... acoustic guitar, slide, upright bass, B-3, vintage electric pianos, strong singing... if you enjoy soulful, rootsy music with a touch of blues, I think this album will end up on your most played list (as it has for me). I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with these guys...
Great Album
Definitely agree with Slizoat. The album rocks. My favorites are Susan and Sign Me Up. I have also seen several of Chi McClean's live shows around SF...solid time for sure. Great music and great people. Looking forward to the next album.

Local SF artist Chi McClean makes good (read: great) with his first crack at a studio album. Poignant songwriting, masterful & tasty acoustic work backed up by top notch artists in the studio makes for a beautifully composed, well produced record that is surely going to get a lot of play on your iPod. Blues. Rock. Power. Listen from front to back and enjoy the cascade of genres while maintaining consistency, relevance and meaning throughout the album. Enjoy the accessible and popular tracks "Something Out There", "Rocketship" and "How Long". Sit back and relish in the deeper, more poignant cuts like "Sign Me Up" and "Miles Away". Prepare to have a new favorite album.
