Finally, a new W13 Song
Wednesday, first off let me say 'thank you'. You always do great things for your fans - and you seem somewhat reachable; down-to-earth rocker-type. Anyways, I remember reading an interview on Metal Sludge and I thought you were hillarious. I loved the interview, but didn't think too much about it. I remember reading about Gunfire 76 and Bourbon Crow (very intrigued). So, when I saw on Blabbermouth that the Murderdolls were getting back together I checked out the "My Dark Place Alone" video and I was hooked. Joey's drums, the heavy guitars and your voice. I was hooked! I went and got both Murderdolls CD's - LOVED 'EM. Then I got all your Solo material, Gunfire 76 and Bourbon Crow. AWESOME. I love your intesity, songwriting, and I'm a Misfits fan and I love the horror-shock-rock and the Alice tie-ins. My wife (and the kids) and I became huge W13 fans. We saw you on the Halloween Hootenanny w/ Alice and Zombie in Dallas. Great show.
So we were late-coming W13 fans, but were dying for some new tunes. Well, after a couple of small 30 second previews (Silver Bullets, I Want to Be Cremated) I couldn't wait to get my hands on "Something Wicked this Way Comes". First, I'll be honest. It didn't hit me right away. I liked it, of course, but maybe that was because I was playing it on my phone. So, I got to work and cranked it up on the big speakers w/ subwoofer - and BAM!!!!! There it was. The drums, the bass, the guitars (nice melody) and W13 in all his glory. I love the lyrics and I cannot get that 'chorus' out of my head. This is a sign of great things to come!!! See you W13 in Dallas @ Trees in November.

Love the guitar in this song, for me it is new old school Wednesday13 all the good parts of FDQ and his other stuff (solo and Murderdolls), he has matured as an artist. It isn't pop music to a rock beat like so many other bands are doing these days. I cannot wait (though I have to) for the whole album to come out in October and to see Wednesday perform live in November!!!
