Take It for What It Is and it is Awesome

I heard "Inside" on the soundtrack of the film "Cashback". It stuck in my memory for years, and I finally looked up the artist online. I downloaded this album, and am not at all disappointed. I primarily like electronic/dance music, and a journey into unknown "Rock" territory was risky for me. The album is stylish and artistic. There's definitely a lovesong theme here. There are tracks with male vocals as well as the female vocals such as in Inside. I love the use of epiano and organ, as well as some electronic drums in the mix here and there.. It's like there is an element of humor.. a sort of lightheartedness mixed with the deepest of emotions. There's enough of that here to let you know not to take it too seriously, which eliminates any cheesiness you would otherwise regard this music with.

Pretty amazing

I think Bang Gang is amazing. The music is mellow and I feel like the world goes slow as i'm listening. It's a strange feeling. The rendition of "Stop in the name of love" is superb. I thought "inside" was a perfect song for the movie Cashback. I don't know there's just something about Bang Gang. Whenever I listen to this stuff I just feel an immense sense of emotions. Especially with Bang Gang's second album. You know what to tell you the truth sometimes I get really depressed listening. I suppose depressed in the best way possible. But it's ok I love it :)

Bang Gang is the nom de band of the idiosyncratic Icelandic producer, songwriter, and vocalist Barði Jóhannsson, who started recording under the name in the late '90s. Bang Gang's sound proved to be as enigmatic as its helmsman, fusing together Montt Mardié-esque falsetto-driven indie pop and atmospheric, Portishead-like electronica. Jóhannsson is often joined by vocalists Esther Talia Casey, M83's Anthony Gonzalez, and Keren Ann on his Bang Gang recordings; Keren Ann and Jóhannsson also work together...
