Haunting . . .
I just happened upon this singer when I was searching for someone else entirely, and was so drawn in by Setra's distinctive voice and haunting songs that I just took a chance and bought the CD. What an amazing collection of music! FRIDAY is probably my favorite; every time I listen to it I hear something new. I love the mystery in Setra's voice and songs; she is really someone special! What a fortuitious find!
Don't let the smooth taste fool you!
With a voice that is incredibly beautiful, stylish, and melodic, what truly separates Setra from the hordes of other "female-singers-with-good-voices", is her writing. Setra's use of melody and lyric is immediately unique and refreshing. Listening to the album from top to bottom, I never once found my mind drifting away, bored from repetition - a true testament to her creative and solid songwriting!
Beautifully Crafted Pop...
This is quite a collection of heartfelt and poetic songs. Its rare these days to hear such a combination of originality and talent, and it all comes through in Setra's beautiful voice. I Especially like the songs 'Cool Rain' and 'Just Like You'...
