Ultraviolet Hippopotamus is the TRUTH.
I just saw the potamus play at 10klf and they were by far the best live band that played the whole festival. others were good but Ultraviolet Hippopotamus was the most energetic and up-and coming talent band iv ever seen. The cd is also amazing and i reccomend you buy it. top shelf face melting talent. sick.
Up and coming Jam Band
If you want to get on with a jam band that is still on the ground floor, but going up fast, grab this album. If you're unsure, I'd say Head In the Trees is the standout track, with EMD close behind. Songs for the Reaper is excellent if you're more lyrically inclined. These guys have all the skills and are only getting better, as anybody who has seen them live can attest. If you like bands like Umphrey's McGee and moe., if you like rock, jazz, funk, bluegrass or whatever then you owe it to yourself to give them a try. Highly recommended .

Great album, great guys. Get on the bandwagon now because your going to want to know this music when the elevator hits the top floor! These guys are selling out every venue they play, just saw them at Dunegrass in Northern Michigan, first thing Monday I searched them out! Great energy, outstanding vibe...on this album and on stage! Buy it and you'll be spreading the word too!
