A Terrific Poet

I stumbled across this album just browsing iTunes and it's quickly quickly becoming an instant favorite. Song for the Road is awesome, and the rest of the album is a compliment to his talent. Talent being something that seems to be lacking in mainstream music anymore. This album is terrific, his lyrics are awesome. He's a very talented poet.

No bonus songs but worth every penny!

Damn I was hoping for the two bonus cuts on the EU release... curse you iTunes. Still an amazing album, my second favorite released in 2007 (I bought the import. Love this guy!)

Exceeding Expectations

"Songs For The Road" is everything I hoped it would be. Exceptional songwriting, great production and the sound of an artist coming into his own. "Go To Hell" is an instant classic. "Requiem" picks up where "State of the Union" left off on his 1st record. "Song For The Road", a song I heard numerous times when I saw him play in NY in 2006 is the perfect album closer. Poignant, uplifting and beautiful. An exceptional record. Highly recommended.
