SONGS FOR THE WEARY: INTREPID, POWERFUL, ENDURING

Theodore delivers a symphony of sounds as powerful as the sunshine, as deep and as meaningful as the Titanic's treasures, as far and wide and as right at home in your living room as a television set. Such beauty and meaning in music has not been discovered in this part of the country for a hundred years. Justin Kinkel-Schuster opens your heart up at the first invitation, fills it with powerful pulsating life, and then as a hard life breaks it, he and his band deliver the hope, the rescue, that can come only as a modern country boy and his band can deliver to save a wretch like you: defibrillator, (powerful percussion, the rock & roll, the up and down...) Down The River Blues is that perfectly timed jolt. That bolt of lighting, that Godfatherly infusion that strikes you and never lets you go. From the beginning when you hear back from the war you will rock, you will roll, and cry and laugh, dance and sing, moan and yearn. You will swoon as I did, for the bass riffs in Outlines ride and bang as if they were on wings launched from the good and sweet Moondance that Van Morrisson delivered. Do you know someone who has faced down the darkest road at night, someone who has faced down the bleak future and wrangled it into a marvelous dreamscape? I do. I know a whole band of men, and even I know some of their associates, some good folk, some admittedly Bad Folk. I admit, I am biased. My brother is in a war zone attempting to fix what is broken from the inside, he swears it can be done. Theodore is the authentic and original country groove that makes this new Century marked, and points the world in it's right path. It is no small task, and it is done wholeheartedly and authenticly by men of purity and instrumental aficionado. Weary or not, these are the songs for you, everyman, make for yourself a path to the checkout counter, between the rows, good and sweet, is Songs For The Weary and it has been waiting just for you.

The Best Indie Album of 2007

I have listend to theodore for quite some time now and feel that I can safely call this album their best work to date. Each track as beuatiful as it is tragic, from Back from the War to Between the Rows. Songs for the Weary is masterfully done, a perfect album.

Best Record

This is by far one of my favorite records I bought on iTunes. These guys really put together a wonderfully deep and beautiful piece of music here. Definitely recommended.
