Hardcore Chris Trapper Fans Will Want To Pick This One Up
Being a very big fan of Chris Trapper and The Push Stars, I was very excited when this album came out. While the album has a handful of very good songs, the album overall falls short of the usual Chris Trapper solo work. That said, tracks like "Faded and Jaded" and "Mid-Summer Nights Kidnapping Case" are a couple of my favorite Trapper songs period. Like I said,if you're a hardcore fan, this a worthwhile pick.
This guy is a great songwriter!
I had the privilage of opening for Chris Trapper at a couple of shows in the Philly area last March. I had never heard of him before that, but I was immediately impressed with his writing and performance. I've since purchased a number of his songs, both solo and with The Push Stars. I have to say, it's all good, but this by-himself acoustic stuff is where he really shines! I hope I have the opportunity to play with him again in the future. If you've never seen him live, it's worth a night out to hear some great music. Keep it up Chris!
