Everybody Act Accordingly
With the hilarious, sexually-charged, 80s-influenced beats and phallic guitar licks, Andy D may seem like a novelty act, but most people will miss that this man is a lyrical genius who just wants to party all the time. Even as he gets more rock into his music with the fuller production of this album, these are still air-tight pop songs.
Aside from having an amazing sense of humor, he has encyclopedic knowledge of 80s pop culture, the occult, and Norse Mythology which he makes seem like obvious bedfellows. Don't be concerned with the seemingly kitschy presentation/content. This guy loves it because it's fun (I promise you none of this silliness is ironic) and makes it all brilliant.
I leave you with my favorite lines: "I like my movies like I like my women: short, low-budget, and independent. / I like my film like I like my ladies: funny, action-packed, and made in the eighties."
