Great sound and smart arrangements
I normally don't review much but I give this album 4 stars. It has songs for all likes. Great arrangements with a combination of different types of instruments. Great sounds from the chapman stick. Favorite tracks are "Float" "On Time" and " Take me down".
Clean pure music
Stop and put on your favorite set of headphones before you dig into this one. This album is not for the casual listener. You really need to sit down, turn out the lights, and pay attention. The tracks are all very tight. The musicianship is very high. I'm really enjoying 'memory on', which uses what I believe is an acoustic version of the Chapman Stick (traditional Stick is used on all the other tracks I believe). It's got a slightly different, organic, feel than some of the other tracks on the album. 'In time' which follows that one really rewards you with a very uplifting bridge at about 3min--takes some time to develop, but it's worth the wait. Heed my advice about the cans and the dark. Listen to this one a few times and you'll understand the title of the album.
