Serendipity, Thy name is David Macejka
WOW!! This morning we discovered Tartanic (from their website: TARTANIC is a band on the edge that fills a much needed niche in Celtic music performance, taking tunes out of the session and into the sensational with their own brand of humor and theatrics. This is not just music...this is an interactive spectacle brought to you by... MEN WITHOUT PANTS !!!). From that discovery came Mr. Macejka. Also from the Tartanic website describing this album by band member Macejka: "This is a recording of fusion Sufi music combining influences from India, Iran, and Turkey. In this recording you will hear Santur, Sarod, Saz, Ney, Violin and Vocal improvisations draped across a skeleton of varied time Frame Drum ostinatos." If you enjoy Eastern influenced music, you won't go wrong purchasing this one.
