Really want to screw-up album? Take a listen...
Why would anybody, even the late great Otis Redding, destroy their signature songs? The songs are beautiful; the lyrics are touching; the artist incomparable. But, I must say that even though these tracks have been horribly mangled, they are still recognizable.
A truism in music is never ever mess around with a song's melody, timing and beat.
If you do so, you will get the crapola similar to these included in this "six-pack"

He was also the most consistent exponent of the Stax sound, cutting his records at the Memphis label/studios that did much to update R&B into modern soul.
