Simply AMAZING
I first stumbled upon the website for this musical a month ago and from the moment I heard Connie Fisher sing I was hooked. She has an amazing voice that will astonish you. You just have to buy this album.
Absolutely THE Sound of Music
I have 4, now 5, recordings of this show. This one, Connie Fisher´s, is to me "note perfect" throughout. Each voice can actually sing! The tempo of the entire albumn is "so right." What a find on iTunes! (I have tickets for THIS show for the beginning of June. I am even more anxious after hearing this recording!)
Total disappointment
I watched Connie Fisher on How To Solve A Problem Like Maria (far superior to "You're the One That I Want") and she sounded fantastic. She obviously got some instruction from a vocal teacher who told her to sing everything light. It sounds horrible. Not to mention that the mixing leaves something to be desired. The Preludium sounds like Leslie Garrett is overpowerining everyone and Climb Every Mountain is just plain embarrasing. Connie Fisher is better than this and the show could be better than this. I'll just stick to watching the movie.
