EASILY THEIR BEST!!!

I remember back in the early 90's when I first heard that Anthrax were getting a new singer, I was horrified! Horrified until I heard this CD for the first time. They really brought it to the next level on this one and new singer John Bush delivers in a big way! Potters Field, Only, and Room For One More all stand up to their earlier work and then some. Stellar production from Dave Jerden (Armored Saint, Alice In Chains) too. I Highly recommend this one, it's timeless.

Anthrax's best CD

Most people will probably tell you that "Among the Living" is their best cd, but you just can't go wrong with "Soung of White Noise". Although they have a new singer, the album as a whole is almost flawless. The songs might have been slowed down as far as speed goes, but they are much heavier and harder then Anthrax's previous songs. Highlights of the album are "Potters Field", Room for One More", and "Hy Pro Glo".

This is Why Metal is here

The Sound of White Noise, is by far the best that Anthrax has to offer for Metal fans. Every Song has the Metal edge that is read to cut you. There just isn't anything better then this album when it comes to Anthrax. All their other albums pale when compared to this one set of songs. If you ever buy one album of Anthrax buy this one, it will be the only one you will ever need to listen too.

Nearly as much as Metallica or Megadeth, Anthrax were responsible for the emergence of speed and thrash metal. Combining the speed and fury of hardcore punk with the prominent guitars and vocals of heavy metal, they helped create a new subgenre of heavy metal on their early albums. Original guitarists Scott Ian and Dan Spitz were a formidable pair, spitting out lightning-fast riffs and solos that never seemed masturbatory. Unlike Metallica or Megadeth, they had the good sense to temper their often...
