Customer Reviews
A fantastic, heartfelt, and pulse-pounding thrill ride of a score.
Source Code was an amazing movie! Duncan Jones is becoming It was extremely thought-provoking, exciting, very emotional, and at times, quite funny. I enjoyed it immensely. One thing that caught me right by the opening titles was the score. It's very grandiose, with lots of horns and plenty of strings, giving off an almost Giacchino-esque sound. It even sounds over-dramatic at times, but to the film's advantage. The music is also very sweeping and emotionally stimulating when it comes to conveying the emotions between Colter and his father, as well as Christina. It made the film seem all the more real and relatable. There's also a few witty moments in the music that slyly narrate the comedic ongoings of the movie too, but definitely not over the top. This is a score I would highly recommend buying to a fan of the film or just scores in general. It's exciting, moving, and fits the tone of the movie perfectly. I'm looking forward to much more of Chris Bacon's great work.
Fantastic!
Great score to a great movie. Beautifully orchestrated and engineered, too!
Woot!
Love this album. I haven't heard Chris Bacon's work until tonight, when I saw the movie. (Which was amazing as well.) He did an excellent job of captruing the tense moments, as well as the more slow-moving but still quite beautiful parts. I haven't bought this yet, but I will soon, and I hope to goodness that Bacon gets known as a good composer. (Congratz to the guy who compared this work to Giacchino. :D I completely Agree!!)
