A giant flaming ball of adequacy—Not worth $10
I’ll start off by saying that Electronic music is by far my favorite genre. So I can safely say I’m familiar with its top artists, history and (roughly) what electronic music is good or bad. This? It’s okay, and “okay” music really, really bugs me to be honest. Because it isn’t like horrible music where you can sit back and enjoy mocking it, and of course it’s not like great music where you can stand up and praise it. Do I recommend this album? Not really. Not for most hardcore electro/dance lovers, but if you like Deadmau5 or the John Maclean; check it out because that’s pretty much what this is. But first; you really should consider some of the other, better records 2009 has offered. Such as “Junior” by Royksopp, “Invaders Must Die” by the Prodigy, and “Divided By Night” by The Crystal Method.
The Emperor Machine Strikes Back!
After one whole year of listening to their first real album Aimee Tallulah is Hypnotized, I got back onto itunes looking for more space disco. And what do you know? Space Beyond The Egg is here. I bought the album after sampling three songs, and what a good 9.99 I spent. This album is loaded full of synth goodiness, sweet drums, awesome composition, and a feeling to want more. Hairy Knuckle captures the mood and sound of 1970s era disco tunes while keeping it modern.
So if you like TEM and their last album, get this one...
