Album Review
Everclear's major-label debut is a tough, melodic set of gnarled post-punk hard rock. An easy comparison is Nirvana, but Everclear's music is closer to the country-rock leanings of Screaming Trees — underneath their loud, grungy guitars there is a distinct rootsiness lacking in most Seattle bands and that gives Sparkle and Fade its edge.

My favorite band in highshool and today
I have been to over 30 of their shows and although I miss Craig and Greg, I still Iove Everclear. This album is art. Every song is great and still takes me back to 1996.
Just amazing!
So amazingly raw. I had this is my CD player for a whole year when it came out and it NEVER left it. So surprised that CD held up as long as it did. Don't even listen to them anymore after the other 2 left, just not even close to the same.
