The New York City collective Dujeous recall hip-hop's golden age, bring genres like rock, reggae, and jazz into the mix, and like the Roots, kick it with a live band in the studio and on the stage. Friends since elementary school, Dujeous officially formed in their freshman year of high school. After their 1995 single "New York Views" was given to their school buddies before graduation, the band gave the rest of world a chance to hear Dujeous by releasing their 1996 cassette Leading by Example.
