Fantastic
The Beautiful Girls are quite simply my favorite band. I'm a 40 year old, suburban white male, married for 17 years and the father of 4 wonderful children. Probably not their most common demographic, but I certainly am one of the biggest fans. I've seen them live in Toronto and Park City, UT and they were no disappointment, that's for sure. I'm surprised they haven't caught on more in the states. Everyone I've introduced them to has become, at the least, a casual fan and many have also become hardcore fans. This album continues to stay true to their roots, yet push the envelope further. I love the guest vocals of Vida Sunshyne. A great fit. I classify this music as "groove roots". It is just fantastic, which is why I titled my review as such. Sample the tunes, buy the album. Buy their other albums. Unless you are a dyed in the wool redneck American, you will like this music, if you really give it a chance.
Best Album Yet
i have always loved this band, but i think this is their best album to date. there is something for everyone, and a solid listen from start to finish. so many good songs on here, i hope they tour in the states soon.
