Spread Your Wings and Fly is moving, emotional and intimate...
Laura Nyro is a true original and highly underrated. This is one of her best albums. I have long been touched by her free-form, meandering and confessional lyrical style as well as her powerful voice. She is experimental when it comes to genres and highly emotional in her delivery. The album which is a mix of her own original work and renditions is a challenging listen however a great introduction to her body of music and overall aesthetic.
