A true metal classic

Back in high school, this was one of three albums that I wore out repeatedly (the others were "Master of Puppets" and "Peace Sells . . . But Who's Buying?"). 22 years after its original release, it has not lost an iota of its raw thrashing power. Though the band found more success with later albums, I've always felt that this was the best work they ever did. The album showcases some impressive musicianship from pretty much everybody. One of the classics of '80s thrash metal - you owe it to yourself to give it a listen.

^^^ best song on here but also get medusa, armed and dangerous, aftershock, and madhouse this album is mmmmmazing

Is there such a thing as a BAD Anthrax album?

What a huge leap forward from their first album. Joey's voice is great and the songs are great. Very heavy. The production is a little too "trebley", which takes away from the heaviness, but it still sounds better than State Of Euphoria. "Madhouse", "The Enemy", "Armed and Dangerous"...just a few of the great goodies you'll find on this one.

Unlike Metallica or Megadeth, they had the good sense to temper their often...
