Candid, but Cool

The "Stages | ep" is a very cool mix of live Alex Nackman songs. Although they're somewhat naked and candid, they still bring to life the energy that this songwriter has on stage. In addition, there's a nice growth and progression from track to track as this CD is a collection of live songs from different tour stops in '04. If you already have AN's new album "A Boy Who Thought He Knew," the live disc is a great supplement to it, offering an inside look into being solo and live. The "Aphrodite's Sky" demo at the end of the CD is also cool. It's different than the album version. I think Nackman could've put more tracks on this CD however to make it more than an EP, but otherwise, it's excellent.
