Interesting...
I couldn't help but buy the album after reading the review below. Very cool and very innovative, but almost completely emotionless. Pretty much what you'd expect from a math rock group. High level of musicianship and sounds you definitely won't hear elsewhere, but really only music for a select group of people.

my favorite from this band
i might change that opinion over time, but this is so far the most solid album. they are one of the more refreshing hard rock bands out there, due to their almost reckless approach, which takes you on an intense journey. they are also very playful, which in later albums seems a bit more stail to me. this album, to me, is their apex as a unit. great musicianship and composition skills. hard-core math rock fans (hate that term, too; sorry) will really dig this album. for those that prefer lyrics, this band may not be for you, despite the often lyrical melodies.
