Steve Vai..Van Halen......Dominic Cifarelli

This cd is a MASTERPIECE! Former Pulse Ultra member Dominic Cifarelli goes way beyond the typical rock band scene, and puts his talent to use. The entire cd is not only music, but a story. Amazing guitar work, mixed with all sorts of piano, effects, drums, everything. It is an album that will keep you listening over and over.. a MUST HAVE for anybody with an appreciation for guitar and just good music. I'm in love with it. Jared - SLC, Utah

Just what we needed

When I first bought this CD when it came out back in July, I nearly cried at the first song. It was a mix of anticipation and extreme satisfaction. It was as though my ears had been blessed. The "Starborn" songs together make the most incredible trio of songs. Then it's followed by two softer songs, one of which is The Equinigma, a softer acoustic piece. Then, as though to balance it out, the next 5 songs have this punding metal feel to it. Then comes Eugenics, another softer song, once again placed there to keep the album balanced between heavy and light rock. The last two songs, Home to Oblivion and Lacrima Christi, are the perfect way to wrap up the album. As someone once said, "it [the ending] makes you wonder of what is to come." Overall, this is the best album I've heard in a long time. Although it's been out for over 4 months, I'm still completely obsessed with it. Buy it, no matter what.

About time

As a Pulse Ultra fan, I was upset when Mike DeWolf told me of the band's demise. When I learned that Dominic had a new project, I was skeptical. It has been a while since a "concept" album caught my ear. Most attempts fail, miserably. Not this one. Totally worth the wait. The band definitely put in the effort, presenting an amazing product. -D
