A New Face to New Age Synth Music
Rick Moyer has been involved with music for quite some time, including playing in a rock band and more recently involved in music for the spirit. However, he has finally hit a resonance with me with this his first commercial album "Stargazer." A professed sci-fi fan and quick study at parody Rick has now put out his own original compositions in the form of a serious new age work. Easy to listen to, sometimes calming and sometimes cheering, good variation, these are some of the thoughts that come to my mind. One of my favorites on this album is "Look at the Stars!"
I have never met Rick but have been following his music efforts through a weekly podcast he has contributed to on many occasions. Give him a listen.

Soundtrack for Astronomy Buffs
To be honest, I have not heard all of every single track on this album yet, but what I have heard is amazing. This one man effort is meant to reach a particular audience, the backyard astronomer. The idea is, you put in your ear buds, turn on the music and look up. It's background music for stargazing!
Unlike other efforts by self-producing artists, the songs are each unique and fresh and display a level of artistry that others just don't seem to understand that they don't have. Overall a very unique and artistic experience.
Not Just For Stargazing
I love this CD. My husband and I listened to it asa we cooked dinner the other night and liked it so much we played it a second time as we ate. Many of the tracks are very relaxing. This CD is excellent for meditation too. My favorite tracks are "Aftermath", "Rings", "Constellations", "Greetings" and "Lunar Sunrise". I plan to take it to the country this weekend to actually listen to it in the manner it was intended: for stargazing. :) Excellent!
