One of the best rappers of all time!

I just came across this album about a week ago when I found it under the "Best Albums of 2006" section in Hip Hop/Rap. I read reviews for it, then bought it, and i am so glad I did! Kenn Starr is one of my favorite rappers now, if not my favorite, because he raps about real stuff with rhyme schemes and a flow that I have not heard since Illmatic. His rapping is absolutely ridiculous! It is great that some artists are just keeping it real and making amazing hip hop, without all of the crap that is in the genre today. I absolutely love this album, and it is probably one of the better albums in the last few years. Also "If" is my new favorite song, it is amazing. THIS IS A MUST BUY FOR ANY TRUE HIP HOP FAN!!!! (Also buy Lupe Fiasco's "Food & Liquor", album of the year!)

MY NEW FAVORITE RAPPER!!

there was biggie, who died. there was rakim, who grew old. there was nas who-- heck, i dont even know what happened to him. bottom line is, greatest lyricists ever. nowadays i jam with lloyd banks, but kenn starr is better then all of them! yes you heard me, ALL OF THEM!! simply because he can keep up with them on the flow, and he can rap about something important. relationships, life, staying strong, this guy has it all!! i have to say every song on hear is a four or five. most are fives however. my top 5 (its tough though) 1. Waitin' On You 2. Against the Grain 3. Mr. Nice Guy 4.Middle Fingaz (disses all of those fake thugs who rap for no reason and still make money) 5. Carry On

this is hot!! Really feels good to know that there are some real MCs still in the game. I had been sleeping on this for a few days but decided to check it out. If you love good hip-hop, add this to your list...son got skills and the production is REALLY tight.

Born in Suffolk, VA, rapper Kenn Starr grew up listening to artists like Nas, 2Pac, A Tribe Called Quest, and Ras Kass, writing his first rhyme at age ten. While at the University of Maryland Starr, he formed the Low Budget crew, which consisted of him, Oddisee, Kevin Brown, Critically Acclaimed, and Cy Young, among others. Thanks to his friendship with Oddisee, Starr was able sign to D.C.'s Halftooth Records, first making his name known on their 2004 compilation You Don't Know the Half with...
