They're the greatest band ever. Period.
Splashdown made the most wonderful music I will ever hear. This album was not just amazing, but the launching point for bigger and better things (that should have been much, much bigger). Do yourself a favor: No matter what kind of music you're into- rock, alternative, adult pop, jazz- buy this album and support the genius of Adam Buhler, Kasson Crooker, and Melissa Kaplan.
They're Back!? YES!
For years now Splashdown wasn't selling their music anymore! Is this a sign of their come-back? This music is so cool! Thunder has a touch of Indian here and there. Beguiled is rocky, yet enjoyable by Electronic fans (like me), So Ha will have you enjoy Melissa's screaming (and beautiful screaming), and deserter is very beautiful. PLEASE, GET THIS ALBUM!
supply and demand
i requested itunes to carry some splashdown less than a month ago - lo and behold, here i have it now! i've been scouring download sites for their music and have come up with a few pieces here and there, aside from already having "thunder" off of this album, which was the first i heard of them on a cmj sampler back in 1997, and having found the "redshift" ep at a goodwill store in germany. really inspirational music that gets to your cortex. it'd be great if itunes could get the rest of their music - even better if the band would get back together and make more music. the trouble they had with capitol back in the day could be put to rest by handling their own business (as they had attempted), now thanks to places like myspace and such. wikipedia has a decent bit of background info along with what seems to be a complete discography on the band, including what the members are doing now.
