A somewhat different sound and direction for Yuki. While her staple voice tone remains, there is a much more pronounced influence of 60's pop than in Citrus, most notably the cover of the Crystals "Then He Kissed Me". Here's to hoping they haven't lost that spark that made them famous.

Pop perfection

Imagine the lovely, lush soundscapes reminiscent of dream pop and shoegaze and a touch of Phil Spector girl group melodies with a Japanese twist and you get Asobi Seksu. Like all the truly great bands, Asobi Seksu continue to evolve and even improve as artists. "Stay Awake" is a breath-takingly gorgeous exercise in post-dream-pop and "Then He Kissed Me" is a brilliant take on a Phil Spector classic.

In fact, the quartet is based out of New York...
