Album Review

Directed by Rob Cohen (XXX: State of the Union) and written by W.G. Richter (The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension), it's only fitting that the soundtrack to the artificial intelligence/Air Force thriller Stealth should be over the top. Composer BT (Brian Transeau) brings his signature blend of house and classical to the project without abandon, relying on brutal electronics, spooky piano motifs, and enormous retches of brass to tell the tale of a top-secret project gone bad. Fans of the composer/producer's high-energy Danny Elfman-meets-Bernard Hermann-swallows-Aphex Twin acrobatics will find much to love here, but those looking for a score that's even the least bit memorable will be almost instantly disappointed.

A Quality Album...

Not only does the Stealth album keep you tuned into the fast paced action of the movie sequences, but it allows you to experience the crisp and new rapid tone of BT's engaging reel of songs. Already a fan of BT's music, I was definately shown a new side and perspective of their music with the movies action put before me. The style and constant driving beats of this album are really tight, though at the same time... the semi-oriental mix within the sound also offer a great musical experience~ Definately a kickin mix of songs... I just bought it ^^;

Best soundtrack ever

I have never purchased let alone look into downloading the entire original motion picture score from a movie until I saw Stealth. I thought the movie was going to suck but was more than pleasantly surprised by the movie quality, Jessica Biel's scenes (you know), and the score most of all. Definitely worth the $10 for 28 quality songs :)

Good Album, but unable to download the tunes.

I've heard cuts from this album and it is a good mix of classical sounds with the usual BT techno beats; the DVD release from the movie does a very good documentary on the making of this particular cut for the movie. My only current problem is actually getting this album to DL from APPLE since I keep getting a message stating that the item is being modified and is unavailable for purchase.

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

His concept of epic house inspired by the classical training he received from an early age, Brian Transeau revitalized the British dance community in the mid-'90s and provided a point of entry for later dream house merchants like Robert Miles, Sash!, and BBE (though Transeau had, for the most part, left the style behind by the time of its pop success during 1997-1998). After his debut album appeared in late 1995 (as BT), Transeau hit the dance charts when his remix of Tori Amos' "Blue Skies" became...
