There is so much comfort and familiarity built into Brooks & Dunn that they have become the rare act whose fans allow them to try anything. Who else could pull off the Spanish come-ons of “My Heart Is Lost To You,” which is basically a Ricky Martin song adapted for Nashville? Or “The Long Goodbye,” which incorporates some gentle drum programming and electronic textures? Or the bluesy hard rock of “The Last Thing I Do,” which could almost pass for an Aerosmith song? The real shock of Steers and Stripes isn’t how many things Brooks & Dunn do — they’ve always been adventurous — but how many things they do well. Even as they refuse to rest on the same old Nashville sounds, the duo always sounds like pure country. And for every left turn in Steers and Stripes a song like “Only In America” is reassurance that that heartland is the group’s lifeblood.

Worth Buying the Whole Thing
This CD i got for my birthday i while ago. highly recommended for country music lovers! lots of variet super fun country sound! as far as what i thought of individual tracks 1: Only In America Good song, Good Single 9:10 2: The Last Thing I Do good lyrics, gun upbeat song 9.5:10 3: The Long Goodbye really beautiful song, sad breakup message though, one of my favorites 10:10 4: Go West good song about a couple deciding to break away from everything and go west together 10:10 5:My Heart Is Lost to You fun song with spanish lyrics thrown in, cool vibe, overall really great 9.5:10 6: Good Girls Go To Heaven one of the funniest songs on the albbum, Good Girls Go To Heaven, Bad Girls Go EVERYWHERE! 9:10 7: When She's Gone, She's Gone sad lyrics, slower song 7:10 8: Ain't Nothing Bout You really fun song, great lyrics 9:10 9: Unloved great love song, good musicians very sweet great lyrics! 10:10 10: Deny, Deny, Deny, very funny lyrics kinda twangy overall very enjoyable 8:10 11: Lucky Me, Lonely You good somg not as memorable as some of the others 6:10 12: I Fall really cool music, vocals not as great but it's still a good song 7:10 13: Every River I really love this song, good lyrics good vocals good music 10:10 14: See Jane Dance fun song, good lyrics a good country party song in my opinion 8:10
