Album Review
Still Alive and Well proved to the record-buying public that Johnny Winter was both. This is a truly enjoyable album, chock-full of great tunes played well. Johnny's version of the Rolling Stones' "Silver Train" revealed the potential of this song and what the Stones failed to capture. Everything here is good, so get it and dig in.
Customer Reviews
Johhny Be..., Great!!
The more you listen to Johhny, the better he gets. He along with Buddy Guy are, in my opinion, two of th most underrated Rock/Blues guitarist of all time. A good example of Johnny's solfullness is the track " All Tore Down". Here he doesnt burn through wailing blues riffs but gets busy vocally. There all good songs.
This album kicks some serious ***
Great album. Do not hesitate to buy this record.
I saw him live and he rocked!!
Back in 1973 my boyrfriend at the time, Bruce Coletti - took me to see Johnny Winter. I was 16. Johnny was amazing. I couldn't hold still to "Jumpin Jack Flash." This entire album is pure talent, period. Check out Los Lonely Boys now. They are amazing and if you like Johnny, you'll like LLB.
