Album Review

Still Restless is the first album of all new studio material in 14 years by Restless Heart. Little has changed since their self-titled debut album was released in 1985; their perfect harmonies and smooth country-rock arrangements remain intact. Basically, Restless Heart picked up where they left off in the mid-'90s, sticking with their strong points instead of radically changing their musical direction. Highlights include the mandolin-dominated "Feel My Way to You," the soft rock, melancholic ballad "Miracle," and a cover of the Beatles' "The Night Before," which sounds more like mid-'70s America than the Fab Four.

Customer Reviews

One of the most overlooked country groups . . .

If you liked the mid to late 80's hits from these guys you're going to love this album. Strong vocal harmonies and Larry Stewart back as the lead vocalist. My friends and I were heavily involved in music and performed a ton of the Restless Heart hits. Trust me, if you love music and singing you will love this.

Great Job

This is the first new Cd with the entire group back together. It seems like they never really split at all. The harmony is perfect with all new songs and one or two truely amazing ballads....

Still Restless is a classic...

These guys are single-handedly responsible for luring me into country music back in the late 80's. Not much in the RH sound has changed, but this just shows that a timeless sound never grows old. "Feel My Way to You" is a great sing-along when cranked in the car, while "And More" makes you want to hold your lady's hand and appreciate her all the more. If you haven't seen RH in concert, they are a real treat live! You'll rarely hear such a great vocal band live...

Playing a pop-friendly brand of country-rock indebted to the Eagles, Restless Heart was one of the most popular country bands of the late '80s and early '90s, scoring numerous hits on the country charts and a few major successes on adult contemporary radio as well. The band first got together in 1984 at the behest of producer/songwriter Tim DuBois, who wanted some musicians to demo a batch of material that walked the line between country and pop. Drummer/vocalist John Dittrich, pianist Dave Innis,...
