Eh. I miss the old Pipettes.
I really, really, REALLY loved the Pipettes before. Their sort of mod- pop sound was wonderful. But this is sort of disco-y and it isn't what I have come to expect from them. It isn't bad, but it's just not what I like. So I'll just be listening to the Bird and the Bee from now on.
If you loved The Pipettes before
It's likely you won't anymore. Without Becki and Rose, it's just not the same. Now all the original members are gone and it shows. I wish this was something I could be excited about, but I'm just not sold.
The new Pipettes
After Julia, Rose, Becki, Anna, Beth, and the polka-dot fashions left The Pipettes, we now have Gwenno and Ani to give us some spacey, disco-ey pop goodness. Fun times!
