beautiful tribute to Hurricane Katrina victims
This album is a dynamic collaboration between friends Big Planz (Terry Thompson) and Elliott Yamin, with proceeds going to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Elliott is fully aware of this release. It's been a long time coming. And it was definitely worth the wait. Elliott sounds as smooth and soulful as ever. It was an awesome bonus to be treated to so many different versions of "The Storm." The talented Big Planz worked long and hard to bring this album to fruition and the result is nothing short of amazing.
Rebuttal to prior review
If you had researched before you posted your review, you would know that these are not demos but studio recordings meant to be distributed as studio releases. You would also know that this is the second studio release from Big Planz featuring Elliott Yamin as a vocalist. This artist is taking advantage of nothing and no one.
The Storm
Oh what a wonderful treat!!! I fell in love with Elliott's performances with Big Planz in Sound Doctrine which came out last year. The passion, soul and power in Elliott's gospel performances are beyond compare. And Big Planz is so talented himself. In my opinion this is one of the best Elliott perfrmances released to date--so happy!!! Each one gives me the chills--beyond beautiful! I want all Big Planz and pray that Elliott might do more gospel or spiritual music. His voice is perfect for it--and don't forget, even Elvis won all his major awards for his Gospel albums!
