A Proper Album Can Still Be Found
For those who say the album is dead, check out the latest from SRP. While several tracks on this album might have more immediate commercial sound, they are only some of the colorful threads that make up a very focused, very contemporary fabric. Just as the great concept albums of the late 60's - 70's did, Story of a City invites the listener to read each song, to hear each story, to feel each movement as a collective. The makers behind the project demonstrate remarkable range, merging so many different influences that it's as though you’re the youngest child at a multi generational, cross-cultural family reunion where every relative is in perfect sync with the other. All you want to do is watch, learn, laugh. Check out the whole album, unless you want to spend five minutes saying hi to just one uncle at the reunion. There's too much good to be missed.
Outstandingly Creative
The creative talents of Mr. Liang are once again superbly showcased in the SRP's latest release. This album is a perfect blend of tracks with phenomenal vocals such as "Last Night of the Dynasty" featuring the amazing vocals of Julie Ann Sgroi, as well as powerful instrumentals such as "Acknowledgements." On the whole this is an album that should not be missed, and the featured artists will most certainly become far more familiar names before long.

Wow...this CD is fresh and exploding with expression. The unbelievable talent of Dave Liang is illustrated by the performances of all the vocalists and musicians. Last Night of the Dynasty singer Julie Ann Sgroi may be destined for a hit single! Buy this CD and enjoy!
