Time Stands Still Pt. 2

MAN, I thought I was the only one who knew this was from Degrassi. Yeah, I mean, that's how I fell in love with this song. Degrassi: The Next Generation's Episode "Time Stands Still Pt. 2 has easily become my favorite episode of any show of all time. This was added to the tone definitely on the ending montage where they are leaving flowers on the steps for Jimmy Brooks (played by Aubrey Graham). The song itself though also invokes sadness into you as you think about the shooter, Rick Murray, played by Ephriam Ellis (from Falcon Beach) and how he struggled with what he did and ended up dying as well. This song is just pure easy listening, and I love it. I am a hip hop rap M.C and a big fan of hip hop for the most part, but I am very eclectic in my musical tastes outside of hip hop, and this type of song from Melissa is one of those non-hip hop songs that I think makes my Top 20 list. Favorite Line: I am playing God I am raising hell As far as I can tell I am all alone Alone in this world Alone, with you

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SONG ROOFTOP!

I LOVE THE SONG ROOFTOP! It was played in the tv show Degrassi: The Next Generation a.k.a. the best show everrrrrr. Check it out because it's AWSOME. The song Rooftop was played in the episode Time Stands Still part 2. It's a really depressing scene and the song is PERFECT for it. DEGRASSI RULES!

Very mature, but exceedingly amazing.

Melissa McClelland reminds me a lot of Nellie McKay and of Hanson, although I cannot elaborate as to why on the latter artist. Like a lot of other iTunes users, I discovered her through Degrassi: The Next Generation. Most people appear to think of Melissa McClelland as a pop artist, but I think of her as alternative, funky soft rock. She has a beautiful voice, and her lyrics...oy. Very out there, but beautiful. Like bloody, thorny poetry.
